Bailey’s cabin is located in the High Desert of Southwestern Utah, bordering on the East Rim of Zion National Park at approximately 6,500 feet above sea level. Below the description are some maps showing the area.

The cabin is centrally located in South West Utah. With great hikes available right from the cabin and the amazing places nearby, you will wish you had more time. If hiking, canyoneering, mt biking, sightseeing and/or 4 wheeling is part of your itinerary, then this becomes a great location (home base) to explore from:

Take a hike outside the door of the cabin to Cable Mountain, Deer Trap or East Rim. The East Mesa trailhead for Observation Point is just a couple of miles away on the dirt road. Bailey’s cabin property is part of an award winning 4,000 acre Zion Ponderosa Ranch resort loaded with amenities. You can enjoy a secluded and relaxing stay at the cabin and also take some time to go 2 miles down the dirt road to enjoy activities available at Zion Ponderosa Resort. The resort offers horseback riding, mountain bike rentals, tennis, pool, miniature golf, zip line and rock climbing wall for the kids and more. A $10 fee at the front desk of the resort gets you access to the pools, hot tubs, showers, recreation room, tennis and basketball courts.
Birds of prey, mule deer, fox, coyotes, wild turkeys, cottontail and jack rabbits are a common sight. Wild flowers are also in abundance throughout the area. Desert Longhorn are native residents of Zion National Park. Enter into Zion National Park from the East entrance and enjoy the scenic drive. Enjoy the visitors center and take the free shuttle through Zion canyon to the Narrows. Take a dip in the river on a hot summer day. Experience the world class rock climbing opportunities.
